How does one recognize and visualize or quantify significant influence of occult high places in Bamiléké villages? Such was the challenge we took on in order to show not only its importance but to help intercessors concentrate their prayers on the most influential regions. To do this we studied several characteristics of the high places, among which we kept seven. The selection was based on those that not only allowed classifications, but that we also felt represented criteria of influence.

° The criteria of access to the site, whose potential variables are: free, conditional, reserved to initiates, costing

° The risk we ran by visiting the sites, whose possible variables are: unrestricted, dangerous.

° The influence of the site on populations near or far: the variables: village, region, exterior…

°The site's renown whose variables are: local, regional, national, international.

° The types of practices occurring on the site during the day, the variables of which are: witchcraft, vampirism, totemism…

° The types of nocturnal pratices.
